AICT is pleased to confirm the Australian Administrative Tribunal (“AAT”) has granted a Stay of the Australian Skills Quality Authority’s (“ASQA”) decisions to cancel AICT's registration as a Registered Training Organisation (“RTO”), (both VET and CRICOS).
This means AICT’s registration as an RTO will not be cancelled. ASQA's decisions have been stayed without conditions pending the hearing and determination of AICT's Merits Review applications or until further order of the AAT. Where AICT is successful in its Merits Review applications, it registration as an RTO will continue.
AICT is therefore able to conduct its business as usual and to continue to:
- teach its current student cohort;
- enrol new students (both international and domestic); and
- deliver qualifications to its high school students
This is an extremely positive outcome for AICT, and particularly its students and staff.
“I am delighted with the news and am keen for AICT to move forward. It has been a very challenging period for me personally, our students and staff,” AICT Chief Executive Officer Hong Fu said.
"AICT has been doing everything it can to ensure the best outcome for everyone involved.
“I am pleased that our hard work appears to have been recognised.”
AICT will continue to update staff, students and the public on the progress and ultimate determination of the AAT hearing.
AICT invites students to direct questions to AICT's head office via email at: email@example.com.
